1920's Alfred Dunhill Silk Velvet Flapper Era Handbag Purse

This is a stunning antique purse from the 1920's flapper era. It's made by the famous Alfred Dunhill. This is the oldest Dunhill bag we've ever seen. The photo of their ad below is from 1935. It's made of the most amazing fabric...silk velvet in a floral, possible Asian, print. It has a horse and rider in the center. This vintage handbag is also in wonderful condition, especially for it's age. It's lined with baby blue silk and still has it's original round hand mirror included. The frame is carved Bakelite we think. It looks like ivory but we don't think it is real ivory.   



Condition Details: Very sturdy & usable. No holes, no loose seams, no stains, only slight wear. Inside silk liner has a lot of tears (see photo). It has a cotton liner between the velvet & silk that is very good condition. Only the blue silk has the holes from age.
