1930's Black Silk Velvet Hooded Coat - M
This is a stunning vintage antique 1930's black velvet coat with a hood. The jet black fabric is so ultra soft, we think it's silk velvet & is lined in ivory satin, but it could be rayon. The shoulders/top of sleeves have stays or fabric inside to give them that very 1930's puff. There's nothing harder to photograph than black velvet, it's difficult to show the amazing details this coat has. It's rare great condition for it's age. The inside liner is backed in a warmer fabric, (we're not sure exactly what it is), so it's perfect for colder evenings. It's not overly heavy like wool just a slightly fuzzy fabric. The photos don't do this gorgeous art deco coat justice!
Condition Details: No holes or stains. The only signs of wear are to the inside liner at the very bottom only. It has a few small stains. The velvet looks hardly ever worn at all.
