Our new favorite dress! This long vintage party or wedding gown from the 30's early 40's is just stunning. Made of an ivory colored silk taffeta (unlabeled). Unlined with no layers underneath, metal side zipper. It has bows & ruching on the bodice below the straps and one on the skirt in front. The photos truly don't do it justice.
It's a nice size...not too small at all but someone put in a metal zipper that is about 3" shorter than the original so it makes it tight to get on over the mannequin shoulders...see photo. Replace the zipper and it's an easy fit. This will be a wonderful wedding dress for the vintage bride that doesn't want a cookie cutter wedding dress... Old Hollywood glamor!
- We have LAY-A-WAY! - See "Ordering + Lay Away" page for details.
No holes or stains. Only Minor Wear. At the very bottom hem where dress touches the floor there are a few faint splash like stains but they are very minimal about 2" wide X 1" tall. We stitches up a couple pinholes near the hem too but other than that fabric is gorgeous! At some point years ago, someone put in a metal zipper that is about 3" shorter than the original
photo. We left it as is but having a tailor put in a longer zipper would be easy and make it a bigger size.Label:
