1950's Floral Silk Special Vintage Dress

The silk on this dress is just so amazing the photos don't do it justice. The lightest softest floral semi sheer silky silk (like spun gold, only white with muted blues, greens & purples). White metal zipper in back, unlined except for the bodice is backed in white cotton, elastic around puffy cap sleeve openings. We photographed the skirt with one of our petticoats underneath for display only, it's not included.  The wide matching green & lavender silk organza belt is adorable. It's ruched with boning and metal hooks. One of our favorites!


Condition Details: No holes or stains. No wear. No real flaws. Original metal zipper looks new. One sleeve looks lighter than the other but upon closer scrutiny it's just fabric variation. Very fine silk fabric looks hand made. If you hold the skirt up to the light & look real hard you can see a few very tiny pinholes in one area, about 3 or 4.
