This is a classic red sheer chiffon 1950's evening cocktail dress in a halter style. Waistband is satin, lined in rayon, chiffon is nylon. Boned strapless bodice with sheer halter layer on top that buttons behind the neck, metal zipper in back, very full skirt. This gorgeous bombshell dress is something Marilyn Monroe would have worn. A classic iconic dress that will never go out of style!

Condition Details: No fading or stains to chiffon. Typical general vintage wear but mostly just to satin waist and inside liner. Chiffon is very red and looks great, only 1 flaw: one hole in the back of the skirt at the bottom about the size of a quarter, it gets lost in the folds, we think a repair will make it visible so we left it alone. Chiffon has a few teensy tiny pricks as all nylon chiffon has but not noticeable at all. The satin waist band has some fading and fairly noticeable wear. We tried to show it in the photos but satin has a reflective shine that doesn't let it show in the photos. It's still very wearable and nice (or it wouldn't be here) but if you're super picky & want mint you might not like it.
