  • I LOVE your stuff but everything I want is sold. How do I get in on it? Our items, dresses especially, sell out faster than I can list, many times within minutes. I add new items several times a week as well as COMING SOON photos a few times a week so people can see what's coming down the pike. If you see some you like email me with the exact names of the items , I'll get them listed ASAP & send you an email as soon as it goes up for sale. That's all I can do. I feel horrible when my customers miss something they really wanted but Please remember, these are one of a kind & it's first come first serve out of fairness. I don't give anyone special treatment, not even celebrities. Be sure to check the What's New page & our Blog for latest news & additions.
  • Why do you leave sold items on the site? I leave them up with a Sale Pending sign for about 30 days to accommodate returns etc. then when I know for sure they're not coming back I mark them SOLD & move some to the back for reference. I promise it's not to torture you. Please do not email me regarding this as I'm too busy to answer. We get hundreds of emails a day.
  • Why do some items say "Sale Pending"? We do that right after someone places an order for that item or puts it on layaway. If the sale goes through We leave it up for about 2-4 weeks on purchased items incase they're going to be returned & put back up for sale. Once we know an item is not being returned we mark it as SOLD. If you want an item that says Sale Pending just email us & if it's returned I will email everyone who asked about that particular item.
  • Why do some items say "Coming Soon" & when will they be available for sale? Items with "Coming Soon" under them are previews to what we're working on. Our customers have told us they like to see what's on the way since many people are looking for specific things. We add as many as possible a few times a week. We list some or all of these new items every week but if you email us with the exact names of the items, we'll get it up ASAP & email you right after. Occasionally we'll find a flaw we missed during the photo-shoot & send it back out to be fixed/cleaned so it may stay that way for as long as it takes to get ready for sale.
  • When do you update & add new stuff? Every week. I don't have one specific day I do this. I do a big photo shoots 2 times a month of over 80 items & I add the Coming Soon pictures. Then several times a week I finish adding at least 10 of the Coming Soon items for sale. Please read the What's New Page & The POSH GIRL BLOG for the latest news.
  • Do you hold items? No, sorry. We can't do that. It ties up the stock for others who are sure they want it.
  • Do you have layaway? Yes we do. All the details are on the "How To Order" page.
  • Can I request a particular kind of dress or item? You can tell me what you're looking for & I'll see if I have something like it in the warehouse. We have at least 1000 items at any given time. If I do I'll add it in to my next photo shoot for the next update but I can't pre sell my items before I list them for everyone & I can't keep track of your sizes, we're just too busy. Sorry.
  • Do you ship world wide? Yes we do! But we do not accept foreign credit cards or foreign Paypal. All the details on how to order from overseas & shipping are HERE.
  • I'm not in the USA, how do I place an order? Send us a list of the item(s) you want to purchase with your name & shipping address, & we will send you an invoice with payment instructions. We only accept western Union, Money Gram, travelers checks (they have to clear first for 2 weeks), or US cash sent registered mail for overseas orders. We're sorry but we used to accept foreign cards & foreign Paypal but there were too many fraudulent cards out there & our items are one of a kind & irreplaceable so we stopped taking them.
  • How do I place a US order? For USA credit cards just use the daisy checkout buttons on the items details page & follow the directions. For all other methods of payment send me an email with the exact name & page # of the item(s) you want & the method you want to pay along with your shipping address and any other info I may need, such as your Paypal email, & I will send you an invoice with further instructions. The minute you send an email stating you want to order a particular item is the time I use incase there are more than one order for that same item. All the details are on the "How To Order" page.
  • What payment methods do you accept? We try to have as many options as possible for everyone. We accept US Visa & Master card, western union.com, Money Gram, US Paypal accounts, checks drawn on a US bank, US money orders , travelers cheques, & well concealed US cash that is sent by registered mail. All the details are on the "How To Order" page or EMAIL US if you have any questions.
  • How do you calculate the shipping costs? The shipping costs are based on the weight of the box & your zip code or country. Insurance is also added & depends on how much the order costs. We ship USPS priority & Express with insurance. We do not pad the shipping price & only add a $3.00 handling fee.
  • How fast do you ship? We process orders in the order they're received. They're usually not done on the same day they are placed because we're a very busy small business. We ship aprox. once a week, usually Fridays but many times twice a week. We can ship Express overnight for an extra fee. If you need something right away I will try my darndest to get it right out but I can't promise this as sometimes I have many urgent requests & I go in the order they are received.
  • Where Do You get Your Clothes? We have many sources. Through my grandmothers connections in the fashion world we acquired a warehouse full of 40's 50's & 60's stock a few years ago. We buy from you guys too.
  • Do you buy vintage clothing? Yes we do! It depends mainly on the style & condition. Email us clear photos & list all flaws. If they are the style & quality we're looking for you can then send us the items, we'll check them out & buy the ones we like and send back the ones we don't want along with a check for the items we purchased. All shipping charges (to & from) are the responsibility of the seller.
  • I placed an order through the check out button but then later the item was not available. Why? Sometimes many orders for the same item are submitted within a few minutes or within a few hours. Especially for dresses that are newly listed. This is why we process all orders by hand & update the items page by hand also. Your card will not be charged unless you did get the item first. There are only 2 of us here & we can only work so fast. Our site is popular & products sell out quickly. I really hate it & feel bad when customers don't get the item they really want but they're one of a kind & I try to update the status as soon as possible. Please remember we can't sit by the computer 24/7 & watch for orders. Although we try ; ) - Thank you for understanding!
  • Is your shopping cart & site secure/Safe? Absolutely! We have a processor through Wells Fargo , it's very secure. Look on your browser to see the locked icon before you enter your card info.
  • I'm not sure if the item I want will fit or I don't understand American sizes. How do I find out? Rest assured you can always exchange or return it but first, we have all kinds of size & measurement charts for USA & European sizes on our "CONDITION & SIZE INFO" page. But since sizes vary so much from designer to designer we think the best way to tell if it will fit is to compare the measurements to a similar item you already have that fits. Read the Return Policies links for more info & feel free to email us with any questions. Please remember we give the items measurements not yours. You will need to be a bit smaller than the size we state in order to fit comfortably.
  • Can you email me whenever you list new stuff? We have an email news letter you can join on the home page by entering your email address but We can not email everyone every time we list new stuff because we do it a several times a week & that would take an enormous amount of time. The newsletter is sent out about 2 times a year for really big updates & site news. We NEVER sell or give out your info to anyone ever!!! We hate spam too. We can, however, email you when a coming soon item is made available for sale. Just email us with the exact name(s) & as soon as they're ready we'll shoot you an email.
  • Do you have a store I can come to & try things on? We do not have a brick & mortar location at this time. We sell online only.
  • Are these new items & do they come in other sizes? We sell authentic vintage items only from the time period listed on them. Mostly they are one of a kind and are only the size stated. 95% of the time they were previously owned & worn. Please read the condition description.
  • I can't find a page I saw the other day, how can I find it? We have a page called "Site Map" that lists all the pages & categories we have as well as our mailing address & customer service information.
