A ton of new clothing!

We’d like to introduce you to Emma. She’s the new manager here at Posh Girl Vintage.

She started out as the talent behind Posh Girls new web site makeover heading up all the art work as well as the website coding and shopping improvements. She has since decided to take over running Posh Girl after falling in love with vintage fashion and of course our great collection we have here. Brigitte had to step down due to health issues so Emma was the perfect fit. So much love and passion for well made vintage clothing has gone into Posh Girl Vintage, we didn’t want just anyone taking over. Emma could not be a better choice!

Emma’s background is art, mostly graphic design & photography. She hails from Oklahoma where she went to school, but has also lived & studied in New York, San Francisco, and a brief stint in Vegas working as a black jack dealer.

Photography, art museums, and fashion are her main obsessions along with her little weenie dog Mildred.

For Anyone Who Thinks Vaccines Are Safe

There’s so much fake info out there from people claiming that vaccines are safe, because when the truth is widely accepted that vaccines are not safe there will be a huge wave of lawsuits, so many doctors & the large corporations that make the stuff, put out fake info to protect themselves. It’s more the mercury that they put into the vaccines then the vaccine itself. We need to pressure them to make safe versions with no thimerosal and then people would not be so scared to vaccinate their kids anymore.

I only quote from reputable research hospitals, Universities, doctors, etc. This is proof from the The Autism Research Institute:

Q: My doctor says the thimerosal in vaccines is “so little there’s nothing to be worriedabout” – is he/she right?

From Boyd Haley, Professor and Chair of the University of Kentucky Department of Chemistry: “The EPA safe level for mercury exposure from the diet is 0.1 micrograms/2.2 pounds body weight and the vaccines preserved with thimerosal has 12.5 micrograms of mercury or 125 times the EPA safe level. This makes the vaccine exposure safe if your baby weighs 275 pounds.” Also, the thimerosal is injected, not ingested, which makes it more toxic, and it is delivered with aluminum that enhances the neurotoxicity. So it is surprising a physician would be so dismissive and say the thimerosal is ‘so small it is nothing to worry about.’”

If you love vintage Airstream trailers and/or interior design and want more info than just a few pretty pictures then you’ll really love this book. Written by David Winick, who is one of the top vintage trailer restorers in the country and designer of the 75th anniversary Limited Edition Bambi trailer for Airstream.

The reason I chose to review this book on my blog was not just because David is a friend and all around cool and interesting guy, but because his book is really different than any of the others out there now. “Airstreams / Custom Interiors” is a 144 page hard cover coffee table book with over 200 beautiful color images and in depth details of each restoration project over the past five years in his studio. You can actually see and learn about the process from the beginning, from an empty shell, to the very end with the beautiful details. Check out his website for more info.

I’m madly in love with vintage children’s, kids & baby clothes! I just love the quality and style of it, just like with adults vintage clothing. You just don’t find the same specialness in modern kids clothes. We have a ton of amazing children & baby clothing that we’re still in the process of adding to www.Posh Girl Vintage.com.

Including vintage little girls dresses from the 40′s to the 70′s, boys vintage coats and matching little caps from the 40′s & 50′s. Young girls and toddlers vintage coats with all original tags still attached…unworn. Not just any old kids clothing either, it’s special adorable story book quality styles you can’t find any where else.

We also have, on the way, a collection of 1920′s and 30′s antique baby clothing like hand made sweaters with baby blue fur trim, booties, white cotton hand embroidered baby dresses made in New Orleans and imported fabric from France. Just to name a few.

May 2011: Women who reported not taking a daily prenatal vitamin immediately before and during the first month of pregnancy were nearly twice as likely to have a child with an autism spectrum disorder as women who did take the supplements — and the associated risk rose to seven times as great when combined with a high-risk genetic make-up,
