This vintage dress is so elegant. The photos don't do it justice...truly! Amazing condition...fabric looks almost new...very sheer and wonderful movement...light and flowy but it has this great feeling & weight to it. Very high quality! We think it's rayon but there are no tags. It has it's original matching black shoulder pads & a side metal zipper. The fabric is stunning the way it's ruched & tiered & along each seam there's a tiny row of ruffles (see up close photos). This dress is sold with out a slip. You can wear any color you like underneath, nude, black red, or match your shoes! All it needs is a simple slip. It also looks great belted as well as on it's own. It's a great investment since this adorable yet sophisticated little black dress is very versatile. It's a classic dress that will always be in style. A modern designer equivalent will cost you 4 times as much. Dress looks amazing with red high heels! Perfect for the upcoming Christmas & holiday parties.

This amazing slinky sexy little black dress is from the 1940's - 1950's. It looks like one of those dresses we've seen in old black & white movies worn by devastatingly beautiful secret agent spies. It has a slight cheongsam inspired style but it's NOT a traditional one. Made of jet black velvet with a sky high side leg slit. It has a metal zipper in the back, & it has pretty white with metallic embroidered trim on side slits & neck. Form fitting hour glass shape and a sexy peek-a-boo slit on the front chest. This is the epitome of a bombshell dress! It should be worn with Veronica Lake style hair & the sexiest stiletto heels in red or black of course.

Made of the most beautiful soft silk taffeta with a tone on tone design...it must be felt and seen in person to truly appreciate it's beauty. Dress has that wonderful subtle rustling sound when it moves. The flounced skirt is so very full! The best part are the embroidered cherries on the front. Zips in back, buttons behind neck, unlined. Fabric is unlabeled but it feels like polyester.

1950's Imported French Silk Lace Black Dress - M

This is a very special vintage black evening dress. Imported French silk lace that's so stunning and high quality the photos don't do it justice! This fabric must be seen and felt in person to truly appreciate how well made and gorgeous it is. It's a solid black silk fabric underneath & a sheer silk organdy fabric on the outside that has very subtle vertical seams all over front and back with that wonderful sheer lace appliqu� work. The back is extra special with a bow and a train or lace panel that hangs down below the bow. We have a photos that shows the panel pulled out to show it's shape. It has a side metal zipper. Bodice has boning.

--This dress is much too big for our mannequin so the fit in the photos is not the best & may look a little wrinkled but that's only from being too big. Fabric looks almost new it's so well cared for & unused.

Condition Details: Looks almost new. No holes, no fading or stains. No real signs of wear at all even on the inside. This would be mint condition except for a very minor flaw: lace is backed with a delicate netting & there are a few small holes only in the netting on the back of the left shoulder & top of right & one or two very tiny other holes but no net holes in the front important areas (see photos).

1950's Black Velvet Shelf Bust Wiggle Cocktail Dress- M

WOW is all we could say when we first saw this dress. A stunning bombshell style vintage little black dress from the 50's. Made of jet black silk or rayon velvet (no labels) with an ivory ruched cotton damask fabric on the bust with thin metallic gold threads running thru it. The skirt has black tulle underneath to keep the ruffles full, the body is fitted hourglass style. Boning in the bodice, metal zipper in back. The straps are velvet and seem long to us. We had to pin them on the mannequin as they were too long for her. The dress is too big for our size 3 mannequin.

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Velvet it very black with no fading or much wear at all. Looks worn only 1 time.

Here is a seriously adorable vintage little black dress from the 1960's. A simple shift style with a slight hour glass shape. This cute cocktail dress is made of rayon with an ultra sheer top layer of chiffon, probably silk but there are no labels. This special and hard to find black evening dress has that mad men style of the 60's we LOVE so much! Very well made with great details! The chest/neck area is sheer and it has an adorable marabou feather trim in front on the edge of the chiffon overlay, there's a big black bow on the very top of one shoulder. Lined in black taffeta like acetate. It has a metal zipper in back, & it looks like it was never worn!

Condition Details: Looks almost new. No holes or stains. We can't see any wear really, just slight stuff from being old. We made a very tiny repair to one seam on the right shoulder...just to reinforce it. Very black, no fading. If it was ever worn it was not more than one time!

One of our all time favorites! This elegant vintage slip dress has amazing details. The art deco fabric is stunning! Tone on tone damask abstract rose design. It has nice movement... flowy & jet black. The bust is the best part. It has deco style arrow sewing on the cups, very hard to see in the photos. This slip dress is a must see in person the photos dont do it justice. Straps have adjustable dainty metal buckles, side metal hidden zipper, hour glass shape that flares at the bottom. It could be worn under your clothing but this is far too beautiful & should be worn out as a slip dress. Fabric is silky satiny rayon with a sheen. Not sheer at all. Simple art deco elegance. This long black antique / vintage evening dress is simply stunning! Old Hollywood glamor from the 1920's - 1930's. Very black silky satin (probably rayon) with ultra sheer mesh panels/inserts around the bottom of the full skirt and also on the bodice. It has big rhinestone buttons down the back. Elegant old Hollywood glamor from the Art Deco era. A real find!

Condition Details: Freshly dry cleaned. No stains. No fading. Minor normal general wear but mostly just to the mesh in a few places: The sheer mesh is two layers, in a few small places one layer mostly the inside layer has a tiny hole but it's hard to see because of the other layer covers it. A few very small repairs here & there but not noticeable. Very sturdy & wearable. The buttons are new.

This adorable designer vintage little black dress is from the 50's - 60's. It has a sexy low cut back with a fitted bodice and a full feminine flared tea length skirt. Lined in black cotton with a sheer silk embroidered top layer. Embroidered swirls are all over this adorable dress. Metal zipper in back. It's too big for our mannequin so the fit in the photos is not the best. We love the feminine flare of the full skirt. This is a classic evening cocktail dress that will never go out of style...Audrey Hepburn worthy!

1920's Long Black Silk Velvet Evening Dress - M

This antique vintage dress is from the 20's to 30's and is so very beautiful! It has that old Hollywood glamor style to it. The bodice is sleeveless but it has fluttery velvet fabric draped over the shoulders. The dress is unlined and the black velvet has a surplus style neckline but there is gold and ivory silk brocade fabric sewn onto the front and the flower on the top of the shoulder is the same matching fabric. There is also a black velvet flower below it. The long evening dress has belt loops on the side so it had a belt originally but it is not with it now. We show it with a black velvet ribbon tied around the waist...it looks great with it but it is not included. The dress slipped on the mannequin easily over her head... there are no zippers, snaps, or other closures. It is not small which is rare for vintage...it's on the larger or medium side.

This vintage/antique 20's flapper dress is just stunning! The condition is phenomenal. 20's silk items are very commonly filled with holes and are very fragile but not this one...ultra sheer black silk chiffon with turquoise blue embroidered soft flowers sprinkled all over it. It's very well made also with little weights in the front neckline hem, and small metal snaps at one side that have been delicately sewn closed. A gorgeous old dress!

Here's an adorable antique vintage dress from the Art Deco period of the 1920's - 1930's. Made of jet black silk velvet. We so love the little fluttery sheer sleeves in burn out style velvet. It's an ultra sheer mesh fabric in floral swirl designs called burn out. The dress has a velvet button at the back of the neck & metal hooks down one side & they go all the way up to the under arm/sleeve so it makes it really easy to get on & off.� Bodice is lined in silk chiffon the rest of the dress is unlined. There's a cute little area of ruching & ruffles in front of the neck. A sweet and simple little black dress from the old Hollywood glamor days!

This is one of the cutest dresses. It's one of our top favorite dresses because it's that classic Marilyn Monroe halter style that's not only a classic but almost iconic of the 1950's style. It will always be in fashion. Made of crisp very black cotton. A little black dress that has huge style! It was actually made in the 60's or so but it's pure 1950's style. The tea length dress ties behind the neck, zips in the back, is unlined, and it's a larger size for a nice change. It also has darts for a wonderful fit. Since it's made of black cotton it can be worn day or night, just add some dressy accessories and sexy heels for a cocktail party dress.

Here's an adorable & classically mid century little black dress. Very 1950's...we love this fabric, it's taffeta in a tone on tone sort of moire or swirl design... all black. The simple yet elegant evening dress has a draped waistband that has a little fall in the back that snaps on and covers the metal back zipper. The skirt is very full. The short dolman cut sleeves are layered. They have 2 layers & the underneath one is slightly longer...a nice little detail. This dress is well made with lots of nice details.

This vintage little black dress is from the 50's - 60's. It's made of sheer black chiffon over a nude and black lace bodice. It feels like silk but it could be rayon. The body is lined in black acetate/rayon, it has a zipper in back. The skirt is full, the waist is fitted, the lace bust has darts. It's a classic evening dress that both Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn would have been madly in love with! You are sure to be the center of attention in this amazing evening dress. The dress has a metal zipper in the back, is fitted through the wast, & has darts for a nice flattering shape. The dress is unlined except for the straps and top part of the bodice, it's lined in black cotton. A classic little black dress that we could easily see Audrey Hepburn wearing!

1930's Old Hollywood Designer Evening Gown By Milgrim- M

� Sally Milgrim was known for her very high end evening gowns dressing many women of American aristocracy like Eleanor Roosevelt... see photo below of E. Roosevelt in a Milgrim gown. Her dresses are very collectible and rare with most priced into the thousands of dollars.
�This one of the most gorgeous vintage gowns we have ever had...circa late 30's early 40's.� I had this is my personal collection but it's too big for me. I decided altering it would ruin the integrity of the dress so here it is for the new lucky owner. I must say, from experience, this dress is one of the most flattering designs you can wear. It ties behind the waist for a fitted slim waist & the bow behind your back is so cute, the bust is a bit gathered so it gives you a long curvy look. The fabric is black and the bead colors are rusty orange with golds & pinks. It has metal buttons in the back for closure, it's unlined. This gown is pure old Hollywood glamor!

This is an amazing, & so rare, vintage black evening or cocktail dress from the 50's. It has a gorgeous flared taffeta skirt and a lace body with it's original belt. The dress is lined and has a strapless taffeta boned bodice and metal zipper on one side. The illustration we show with the photos is a long sleeved, very similar version of the same dress... hips are roomier in ours. Audrey Hepburn style... one of our all time favorite little black dresses! These evening party dress styles are getting really hard to find now a days.

This is one of the cutest vintage little black dresses we've ever had...maybe even one of the cutest dresses period! Rat pack Mad Men era...a little black dress to die for...circa 60's...it's a simple fitted hour glass shape black dress with sheer chiffon tulle ruched across the bust and falling down the back with ruffled edges. Metal zipper in back. Truly in our top 5 favorite cocktail dresses of all time. A rare find that will never lose value. We can easily see Marilyn Monroe in this dress!

1940's Black Designer Fringe Saks Fifth Avenue Dress

This is a very rare vintage dress from the late 1940's. It's an art deco flapper style black evening dress. We think this dress is possibly a Sophie Gimbal design but her label is not on it, it was made during her time there as head designer. She was the most expensive designer of her time when she started at Saks in the 1920's. This is an original custom dress made only for Saks Fifth Avenue which was extremely expensive back in it's day...one of a kind. It's amazing the wonderful condition it's still in. This gorgeous black evening designer dress is made of 2 layers of silk...the under layer is hand finished silk and the outer layer is a silk crepe or possibly a very fine rayon crepe. It's embroidered with long silky fringe all around the hips and to the floor. There's a black metal zipper in back. It's a simple and elegant style that will never go out of fashion. Timeless! They used to wear a big piece of Eisenberg ice in the center where the dress gathers...that was the style back then... the bigger the ice the better!

Another classic that will never go out of fashion. This dress looks great with many styles of shoes but we think it's especially lovely with white wedge heels or platforms.... It looks devine!

When we first saw and touched this gorgeous dress we thought 1940's couture! The silk velvet, the weight, the quality, the padded shoulders, but it's too short. On closer scrutiny we saw it was hemmed to be shorter and it must be 70's. Serge Lepage designed at Schiaparelli and on Jan 23rd 1977 a $1.5-million Serge Lepage dress was exhibited in Paris, France. He was known for his high end luxury dresses. Just like this one. Jet black silk velvet lined in black silk. The yellow is also silk with metallic tiny polka dots. The dress is strapless with wire boning in the bust. Metal side zipper. Stunning!

Black stretchy knit with white piping trim, unlined, drawstring straps and very low cut sides too. Not a dress for the shy girl! This is something Pamela Anderson would wear. It's not too revealing though just enough to be daring.

This is one of the most beautiful vintage dresses we have up right now. We just LOVE it. A little black dress from the 50's 60's that will forever be so chic & in style. This dress is something Audrey Hepburn would have worn! A simple knee length sheath dress made of the most beautiful fabric! It's a black taffeta that has a crinkled effect, there are swirls of black sequins all over. It has a metal zipper in back, darts, a waist, and it still has it's original tie belt.

This is a very hard to find vintage evening party dress from the 1950's. Made of black taffeta with metallic gold bust detail, and a velvet and gold mid century style print all over the fabric. Dress still has the original belt, and amazingly, it looks never worn. The skirt is very full and tea length, with a black petticoat layer underneath. It has a black metal zipper on one side. Bodice is boned. A glamorous stunning piece of fashion history.

This is a stunning vintage little black dress from the late 50's early 60's. Black sheer lace over a taffeta liner. The back is a sexy low cut with a lace flower at the small of the back. The full skirt is made with tiers of lace.� Metal zipper in back. Hardly worn at all...just one time. We so love the back of this beautiful & rare evening cocktail little black dress! The waist fit our size 3/4 mannequin perfectly but the bodice/bust was too big.

This is a gorgeous & rare vintage designer black and white evening dress from the 1930's art deco era. Very black silk velvet with white real Ermin fur trim. Dress is Unlined. Side metal zipper. Each strap has 3 velvet piping straps on each shoulder. Bust is ruched & gathered in the center and at the sides. The measurements are a normal/ average Medium /Small size but because of the side zipper it takes a little wiggling to get on, a common issue with all side zippers. That's why they were moved to the back in the 50's.� This vintage / antique gown is pure Old Hollywood Glamor!

Condition Details: No holes, no fading, or stains. Minimal wear.

This gorgeous black dress is from the late 20's early 30's and is super elegant. Dropped waist, aqua colored bust line & straps. Bust ties in a bow in front, little side metal snaps for an opening, unlined. We're not sure of the fabric but think rayon taffeta. It's hard to see in the photos but around the hips/ dropped waist is ruching which gives you a nice flattering shape, skirt flares out a bit below it. Adorable.

This is a stunning antique vintage 20's 30's jet black silk or rayon velvet (unlabeled- we think it's silk) evening dress in that Art Deco old Hollywood glamor style. Bias cut. Slinky fitted through the hips with a flared bottom and Egyptian revival style beaded neckline. A rare find in this amazing condition and a size that is not too small like most 20's clothing is. It slid on easily over our mannequin.

Here's a gorgeous late 20's - 30's art deco era little black vintage dress with ornate blue & black glass seed bead work on the front & back & down the full sleeves. It's fairly heavy and so well made. It has a belt with snaps or you can tie it, in the back to give you a nice shape, there's an adorable big bow at the back of the neck snap closure and bow ties on both wrists. The sleeves are full and billowy, there's a zig zag shaped seam around the lower hip area. Unlined, fabric is probably rayon crepe, it's unlabeled. One stunning & gorgeous vintage antique little black dress!

Condition Details: No holes, no fading or stains. Only Minor Wear. Most all beads are intact but there are a couple of loose threads here & there. Hard to see. We had a few of the beads reinforced but you may have to sew down a few from time to time as is expected with flapper era dresses. A few of the seams were re-sewn. There's a very small repair in front near waist. For a 20's dress it's in better than average condition.

Now here is a special vintage dress! Not easy to find great looking designer 60's mod dresses. Saks Fifth Ave. is one of our favorite lines. Always very high quality and so cute. This little black dress is no exception... a classic. Outer layer is sheer black organza in an A line baby doll cut. It has little buttons in the back and a taffeta liner. It is way too big for the mannequin so the fit is not great in the photos but it is so adorable. Photos dont do it justice!

This is a simple yet elegant vintage little black dress from the 80's. We think if Audrey Hepburn were young enough during the 80's she would have worn this dress. It looks like an 80's version of her style. Low cut back trimmed in a satin ribbon that ties in a big bow at the lower back. Stretchy unlined spandex make this a form fitting dress.
-- It's way too big for our size 3/4 mannequin. Vintage tag says small but there is no way that's true. It is a true modern medium.

Our current favorite dress! This label is very collectible,� they made very nice well made clothing especially dresses & gowns like this one...circa mid 50's... this evening party dress / gown is made of black medium weight taffeta, skirt is lined in pink rayon acetate with a layer of pink tulle and another layer of black polka dot tulle on top that peaks out the side. The skirt is gathered & lifted on one side with a black decorative button sewn on to show the tulle underneath. The strapless bodice is boned with a line of little buttons all the way up the front center. A VERY hard to find & stunning evening dress!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Some general but minor wear to fabric mostly to the inside. The polka dots on the tulle have some wear to some of them but no holes in tulle. Some of the fabric around boning has worn thru on inside of bodice.

This is a very rare Hollywood movie LBD designer vintage dress...circa late 30's early 40's. Jet black fabric we think is rayon but it's not labeled. The skirt has a Fortuny like accordion pleat... Stretchy a bit. Side metal zipper and buttons at the back of the neck. Unlined. Bodice is a bit stretchy too. Very glamorous! A classic style never to go out of fashion. An adorable little black dress.

Condition Details: No holes, fading, or stains. It does have a bit of wear to the tulle, a few pea sized and smaller holes to tulle only near the belt in front, some of the velvet polka dots have wear to them. Price reflects condition.

1950's Ceil Chapman Black Strapless Dress

Ceil Chapman was Marilyn Monroe's favorite designer...with good reason too. His work is just gorgeous. He really knew how to make a women look beautiful! There's also a good reason his dresses are so sought after to this day. They are classic, extremely well made pieces of history. This dress is a perfect example...Strapless fitted bodice with a very full and flowy skirt. Side metal zipper, boned bodice, 2 side pockets on skirt. Very black ultra sheer silk chiffon over a solid black liner. No other layers underneath. Simple gorgeous!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Hardly any wear. The only flaws are 3 small repairs to sheer chiffon on back side middle of skirt & 2 on the seam edge of bodice. They get lost in folds and in all the black. Very hard to see.

This is very a special 1950's party / prom dress that would also make an adorable wedding dress. Black sheer chiffon over white tulle and an acetate/rayon liner. Trimmed with black velvet and a cotton cream rose lace on the bodice. There's a metal zipper in the back, skirt is very full. It's a bit too big for the mannequin so the fit in the photos is not perfect. We don't like to put pins in our dresses. Very Audrey!

Condition Details: The outside is near mint, the inside liner has minor wear. No holes or stains.

1950's Black Evening Audrey Dress

Now this dress is SO Audrey! The neckline on this vintage 50's dress is just too adorable & chic for words. If this fit one of us here it would not be for sale right now. The bodice is black the outer sheer layer of the very full skirt is black with 2 other layers under the skirt in cream then under that is a white liner. The tie satin belt has metal rhinestone cones on the end. Zips in the back and is in great condition. Classic!

Condition Details:� No holes or stains. Looks worn only 1 time. A few slight faint yellow spots on the inside liner that in no way show through the front.

1950's Black Bow Lace Evening Dress - LRG

Here is one of the best evening dresses we have ever had! Vintage 50's black formal evening dress with a big silk bow in the back. Couture quality. We've had a similar dress with a bow just like this and it was by Mr. Blackwell. This may be from his line. The lace is so delicate & intricate, it's backed with light beige chiffon...stunning! Fabric is not labeled but we think it's rayon. There is some extra fabric at seams to let out. This little black dress is in a nice larger size. Bodice is fitted and the full skirt flares out so nicely. Very Audrey Hepburn!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Looks almost new. Minimal wear. If you look real hard under the lace on the beige fabric there's one small faint pea sized spot. We didn't have to mention it since it's not really visible but we like to be thorough. The only real flaw is on the front chest and we think it's a bit of iron shine. It's not a spot like food or water but a slightly different texture that runs along the shape of the inside fabric so we think it was pressed and a 2" or so area was made. To us it looks like iron shine. We tried to lighten up the close up photo to show it but it was very hard to do. It doesn't show much but if you are super particular you might not like it. Price reflects condition... 50% off.

Ossie Clark era...Bergdorf Goodman On The plaza New York... only the best for that store! Jet black silk simple sheath dress with huge flared angel sleeves with padded shoulders. Zips in the back, sleeve edges have shiny silk. Stunning little black dress!

If you are looking for a special little black dress this is the one to get. It reminds us of Elizabeth Taylor... Circa late 50's early 60's. The sheer black lace bodice is backed in a light beige nude color, it has darts, a zipper in the back, and the skirt is the best part...made of silk chiffon it's layered & wrapped almost bubble style but not quite full and it has an adorable little bustle bow on the lower back. Top it off with a pair of stilettos and a little black cocktail bag your set. Would also be great with a flashy red necklace and matching red heels.

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Some minimal wear to lace but chiffon has no holes or snags. Very black no fading.

We look high & low for any vintage dresses that look like they just came out of Audrey Hepburn's closet. This one looks like it came off the set of Breakfast At Tiffany's! Long black with a big bow in the front it looks allot like the dress Audrey wore in that movie. Not sure what the fabric is, maybe a rayon crepe backed in a cotton, it's not lightweight...more medium weight. Bodice is fully lined, zips in the back, fitted waist with darts, circa late 60's... A classic & super adorable vintage long black dress!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Hardly any wear at all.

1950's Designer Black Formal Evening Dress

This is a VERY special and stunning vintage designer evening gown. Circa 1950's... a vintage all black party dress made with the finest lace & tons of tulle & taffeta. The lace is tulle with embroidery all over it. Metal zipper in the back, fitted waist with a big full skirt. Skirt has 3 layers. We lightened the photos so you can see some details. It's very hard to see details on an all black dress. The buttons & the neck bow are all silk velvet. The liner on the bodice is strapless, then it has the sheer lace overlay with the velvet buttons and bow around the neck, it's a bit billowy in it's style from the seam under the bust up to the neck. You'll be the star of the show where ever you go in this number!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Very minimal wear. This is pretty close to near mint. The only reason we didn't mark it mint is the small repair to the lace on the back of skirt below the zipper. Repair is aprox. 2" but it gets lost in all the folds, you can't see it unless you know to look.

This is a gorgeous body hugging deco style gown. Made in the 70's when the 40's were in style. It's a very flattering cut & fabric. Not too lightweight but not too heavy or think either. Unlined, very black with a cream detail, side zipper, and 3 piping straps on one shoulder.

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Some minimal general wear but mostly just to the one area in the photo on the right hip (see photo).

1950's Designer Little Black Dress Pleats

This gorgeous vintage 50's little black designer dress just doesn't show it's true beauty in the photos. In person the movement, the details, the fabric is just amazing and so special. There is a reason Lord & Taylor's has & had such a great high end reputation just like Saks Fifth avenue does. This is one of the reasons. The little sexy classic black dress has pleats throughout the entire dress, the fabric is not labeled but moves like silk or rayon or maybe a blend. Very black, very little wear, 2 silk buttons in the back along with a metal zipper. Unlined.

1940's Kathryn Kuhn Gown

I'm very excited about this vintage late 40's early 50's dress / long gown. It was hand made by Kathryn Kuhn who was a well known dress maker and costume designer for many Broadway plays & movies &, according to the New York Times, for the Ziegfeld Follies in 1946, and Sonja Henie. This is a one of a kind hand sewn gown! I do not know at this point what production this dress was in, but it sure looks to be an entertainers dress. The sheer high cut leg is one clue to this as well as the bodice construction inside.
�It will be easy to have a liner sewn underneath if you don't want to show so much leg but we're leaving this all original except for a few small seam repairs. It's black silk chiffon with white sequins in the shape of stars, lined in black taffeta with layers of silk chiffon on top. Metal zipper in the back. Bodice is pretty heavily boned and under wire cups. This was a costume and will make an amazing evening dress for some lucky girl! This is a real original vintage burlesque dress gown.

Specialty Item NOT returnable! - Price reflects condition but it's worth well over $1,500 as is now!

Condition Details: This dress is sold as-is. It was worn in theater shows and the inside shows this. The outside is pretty nice and not many flaws but a few small ones. The seam edges around the top bust need repairs. The inside liner has a few holes and faded spots. You can easily restore this dress/gown but we are selling it for you to restore. The edges are a bit freyed where it touched the floor... This was a show girls dress.

1950's White Collar Black Dress

Here's yet another super gorgeous, and so classic, vintage dress...circa 1950's. Very high quality from Benjamin's of Albuquerque. It has it's own black petticoat underneath attached to waist. Very black crisp cotton with white cotton pique collar that snaps in the back along with the metal zipper. Very full skirt with a fitted bodice & waist. Allot of construction went into this dress...an equal one in style & quality today would be in the $800 range new. There's only about 1/2" extra fabric tops to let out at seams. This is vintage clothing at it's best... Simple & Classic....Very Audrey Hepburn.

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Some general but typical wear not in any one place. A bit of color wear on the white collar but just where it folds on the edge. No stains or freys at all. The only real flaw is a repair (3" long X 1/4" tall) in the back rite side on the waist. We tried to lighten the photo so you can see where it is. It does not show in the front, just side & back. The good news is it's right where a belt covers it. A thin black belt will add style & hide the repair. We didn't do the repair so it could be taken to a tailor & redone smaller.

1960's Black Beaded Pleats Dress

This vintage 60's dress is amazing...we love these chiffon pleats with the curly hem and look high and low for them but they are hard to find these days in great condition. Zips in the back, lined in black acetate. There are no fabric labels but we think it's rayon chiffon... Probably not silk.

Condition Details: No holes or snags. Looks worn only 1 time. Very black no fading, no missing beads or stones at all. This dress has only one flaw: If you pull out the skirt near the bottom in the front is a small hole made from what looks like a cigarette. About the size of a pea or 2. Can not see it unless you look for it and pull out the skirt all the way. Hidden in the pleats.

This is quite possibly the ultimate sexy rich hippie Stevie Nicks style vintage dress... Circa late 60's early 70's... made of matte black nylon jersey... moves nicely...� very liquid... Unlined. The ribbon trim has an Indian style Embroidery to it. It's cut down to there in the front with black satin ribbon ties. The bottom is a zig zag shape. Not for the faint of heart. If you don't like attention from men then do not wear this dress!

Condition Details: No holes or stains. Not much wear except for a bit on the black ribbons.

Hattie Carnegie was a very well respected high end clothing designer up until she died in 1956. She specialized in the little black dress and only the best department stores carried her clothing. This vintage 1950's little black dress is one of her best, we think. Simple, chic, classic and so well made. The fabric is so luxurious! Jet black floral cotton with raised velvet floral design. Metal zipper in the back, fully lined.

This is one of the best vintage evening dresses / gowns we have ever had...circa 1940's. The jet black silk and ultra fine lace are just stunning! The bodice is strapless with a sheer lace, one shoulder, over lay. There's a metal zipper on one side, front side of skirt has sarong style gathers and there's the most special pleated tulle & lace fall on one hip. The lace is exquisite and doesn't get any more high end than this!

1950's Mr. Blackwell Black Bow Evening Dress

Mr. Blackwell designed some of the most beautiful vintage clothing during his time. He's in our top 10 list of favorite clothing designers. This vintage designer dress from the late 50's is no exception. A classic form fitting hour glass shape with 2 very big silk bows at the bottom. Fully lined, metal zipper in the back, darts, lightweight jet black wool fabric with the finest silk for the bows. So rare to find a large vintage size. Mr. Blackwell sure had great style!

Condition Details: At 1st look it looks new. LOOKS UNWORN. Zipper has no wear on it at all.� No stains. Very black, no fading. The only flaws are 4 very small pinholes on the top of left shoulder strap and two tiny 2 stitch repair in the front on the right hip (see photo). There are also a few tiny repairs on the skirt but they get covered up in the folds of the skirt. In no way do these affect the wearing of it. Price reflects flaws. I took off $100.00.
