Another stunning and rare designer dress from the 1950's New Look style. This has those wonderful dolman shaped sleeves and really full skirt with a fitted waist...a look that is so chic and sought after! Mid century elegance. The fabric is stunning in an ultra soft black lightweight wool with silk velvet trim. It buttons up the front and is in a nice larger size. Its way too big for our mannequin so the fit in the photos is not great. A rare and very expensive dress in it's day designed by the world famous Norman Norell. We show a vintage photo of a model below wearing a dress in the almost exact same style as this Norell dress. We think it would be even better worn with a little black belt. So gorgeous!

Freshly dry cleaned at a non-toxic earth friendly cleaners. VERY BLACK! No holes, no fading or stains. Only minor general wear. The only issue it has is a few repairs to the very bottom of the skirt near the hem but they are repairs so they're very hard to see.Label:
