About The Clothing:

We professionally clean & repair all items as much as possible before we ship them. We rarely sell anything in less than Excellent Condition - See chart below. All major flaws (if any) are mentioned in the items description. Once in a while we may miss small flaws such as minor loose seams, tiny holes or very small or faint stains. We are human after all & sometimes flaws can hide in folds & such. Small flaws that are not visible or do not effect the wearing of the item are not mentioned.

Please keep in mind that most of our items are about 60 or more years old and will have normal typical vintage general wear from cleaning, age, etc.. even if it's listed as Mint Condition. We want you to be happy so remember, you can always return it. But if you are looking for perfection all vintage clothing is probably not for you.

Vintage Condition Rating Chart

Mint/Perfect:	Self explanatory. Rare
Near Mint:	Like new no noted flaws
Excellent:	Noted minor flaws which do not compromise the item.
Very Good:	Noted minor flaws, easily repairable, wearable as purchased.
Good:	Noted minor flaws, most likely repairable, wearable with care.
Fair:	Numerous noted flaws, some significant, possibly repairable/wearable.
As Found:	An honest piece damaged beyond repair with value as costume or for study.

HOW WE SIZE & MEASURE:

 
The best way to make sure a vintage item will fit is to find a similar item you already own that fits & compare the measurements in inches to the new item you want.

• We measure as accurately as possible. Measurements are the fabric when laying flat. Keep in mind you will need to account for comfort in your measurements. So if a waist is 26" you need to be a bit smaller to fit. How much depends on you & your idea of comfort.
• Vintage size numbers are not the same as modern size numbers so please do not go by those. We do not use modern or vintage size numbers anymore. We only go by the inches and label it Small, Medium, or Large.
  
• We measure items in their un-stretched state & always mention if fabric stretches or not. 
  
• We measure exactly not approximately so keep that in mind when measuring yourself.

 

Blouses, Tops, coats, and Shirts:

 

• Arm length is measured from shoulder seam to wrist hem.

• Bust/chest measured from underarm, across the chest to the other underarm seam, then measurement is doubled and if it has darts we add inches for those. If a dress is 17" across our description will read: 34" / 36" with darts - the 17" is doubled then 2 inches is added for darts.
  

• Length is measured depending on the item. From top of shoulder seam to bottom hem if there is no waist seam, or straight down the back not including collar for coats and jackets. If there is a waist seam then it will be from top of shoulder to waist seam then waist seam to bottom of hem.
  

•  Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and then doubled. If it's an empire waist we give empire size and natural waist size.
  

• Back is measured from shoulder seam across to other shoulder seam (see diagram below).

 

Skirts and Dresses:

1. Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem unless it has a waist seam then it is shoulder to waist seam & waist seam to bottom hem - 2 measurements.
2. Waist is measured across waist seam or waist band, then doubled. If it's an empire waist we give waist seam & natural waist numbers.
   
3. Skirt length is measured from waistband to hem.
4. Hips are measured across where an average hip falls, usually at the widest part or about 10" down from waist aprox. , then doubled.

Pants:

1. Inseam is measured from crotch down along inside of leg to hem.
2. Waist is measured across natural waist then doubled.
3. Sometimes we measure from the waist, down to the crotch if needed.

Shoes:

Shoes are measured lengthwise across the top of the shoe from the heel to the toe, and the width is measured across the sole at the ball of the foot. Whenever possible we measure with a soft tape inside the shoe.
