This is a gorgeous vintage silk scarf with a Chinese dragon painted on one end and the Chinese character for the word dragon on the other end. It has no labels so we don't know much about it. We think it's silk but it could be rayon. The fabric has a slight stretch to it. The color is ivory or bone not pure stark white. If it's rayon it was made during the war most likely. We think it was made around the 40's - 50's. That doesn't matter to us though, it has such wonderful quality, & looks great with so many things from a tuxedo to tied onto a purse or around your neck. From formal evening attire to jeans...it goes with everything.
- Chinese dragons traditionally symbolize potent & auspicious powers, a symbol of power, strength, and good luck.
