This is a stunning antique long coat in a burgundy purple color silk velvet ( NOT RUST). From 1920's - 30's. The photos don't do the color justice. I could not get them to come out perfectly, color wise. Plus everyone's computer is so different the true color is something you can only get in person. It is a purple burgundy red.
The bottom of the coat is tapered, shorter in front, longer in back & sides- Except where hem was shortened from damage in back. The glass beads are white and in great condition. The shoulders have a fabric inside that makes them stand up and puff out a bit. There are velvet buttons at each wrist. Not lined. No labels. I am pretty sure this is silk velvet. It feels like it but with no labels on an antique item it can't be guaranteed of course.
- We have LAY-A-WAY! - See "Ordering + Lay Away" page for details.
Condition Details: This is old & has typical antique era issues. It has a few wrinkles in the velvet but its clean with no stains. It has a few repairs that are significant but not in front high profile places. SEE PICS. One in the back of knee area. 1 on right sleeve elbow area. Has a few small thinning areas sprinkled here & there. Also the hem at the bottom has some damage and needs to be hemmed. It has some small holes in the back as shown in photos. Most all of the flaws are in the back but a few small ones in front jut not real obvious. SEE PHOTOS. It is very sturdy, the beads are in great shape, No color fading or stains. Price reflects condition.
