There's a good reason why Kamehameha Hawaiian dresses are so sought after....actually all of their vintage clothing are collectors items but especially the 1950's dresses... Just like this one! The quality and style is above all others of their time. The fabric and prints were better...more beautiful...higher quality construction, etc... This vintage Hawaiian dress is just gorgeous! The colors are reds, pinks, lavender & white abstract floral print. In the classic 1950's tea length fit & flare style... fitted bodice with a little bust bow detail & a very full pleated skirt. It has elastic on the sides and back of the bodice and a metal zipper in back. A true classic piece of American history!
- We have LAY-A-WAY! - See "Ordering + Lay Away" page for details.
Condition Details: Freshly washed in natural soap. No holes or stains. Colors are still bright & crisp. Only minor general wear. The only possible flaw is the elastic threads around the back & sides of the bodice, they're probably somewhat stretched out but we do not know how much because it was originally made to be a large size. It still has a lot of stretch.
Label: Kamehameha Made In Hawaii
Size Details: It's way too big for our mannequin, you can easily make it smaller by resewing the elastic thread, but we chose to leave it as is because large vintage dresses are so rare. Especially these style Hawaiian dresses!
Bust: 38"/ 40" Has bones & darts, we measured it UNstretched
Waist: 34" unstretched, stretches about 1" more
Total length: Bodice 16" - Skirt is 24.5"- From top of shoulder to waist seam & bottom of fabric, Straps are adjustable with buttons.
