This is a gorgeous, rare vintage / antique wedding dress from the 1920's flapper era. The fact that pure silk chiffon that's around 100 years old & in this great condition has survived so wonderfully is one of the reasons it's so rare. The reason it's so sought after is the classically elegant, simple style this antique wedding dress has. It's very much desired today! The color is an ivory & it's the original color. This dress was well cared for & put in storage shortly after it was worn back in the early 1920's - See below for all details of it's condition - The dress is a sleeveless shift style that slips on over your head easily with no buttons, snaps, or other closures. It has a very subtle tapered train in the back which is about 8" longer than the front. The skirt portion has layers of flowing silk on top of the body of the dress.
- We have LAY-A-WAY! - See "Ordering + Lay Away" page for details.
Condition Details: Freshly hand washed in natural organic soap. Only minor general wear. Dress only has a few very small flaws, we took up close photos of them. The back V shape has a faint water like spot shown in photo, a few seams were sewn to reinforce them, a few tiny pinholes also shown in photos in the back. Fabric/dress is VERY sturdy. You must be careful with ALL antique clothing but this is perfect for wearing for a wedding. It's not too frail at all. Worn only 1 time back in the 20's. The front bodice has no flaws it's really nice.
